Week 5 is here!

Finally here is the last of the weekly observations:

This had the lowest number of observed organisms out of the experiment but I still observed numerous Difflugia Corona this week, the most I have seen so far. But one organism stood out from all of them because it had the most movement. It was the "aquatic insect larva" that Dr. Macfarland named because neither of us could find its exact name. There are three pictures listed from it one being the main body as a whole, the second as the head, and the third being the foot (Covich and Thorp 1991). Other than that organism no other larva or microorganism stood out.

Week 4

Week 4, woo here we go

I noticed the largest amount of organisms this week. A lot of them were the Difflugia Corona pictured above (Hayden 1879).
Another organism I noticed was the Cyclpos sp. which will be pictured in my next blog.
The organisms were active and abundant today! woo

Week 3 results

Week three was started by adding:"Atison's Betta Food" made by Ocean Nutrition, Aqua Pet Americas, 3528 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84104. Ingredients: Fish meal, wheat flower, soy meal, krill meal, minerals, vitamins and preservatives. Analysis: Crude Protein 36%; Crude fat 4.5%; Crude Fiber 3.5%; Moisture 8% and Ash 15%.

But on observations I several organisms and larvae. I noticed one large insect larva by the betta food towards the top. i also noticed dozens of small fast moving organelles moving very fast and spontaneously through out. I also noticed what appeared to be a shelled-looking gorganism as well.

Well thats week three observations
